@libreoffice I spent the weekend converting my Apple Pages, Numbers, and KeyNote files to LibreOffice. Two things stood out: 1) Libre doesn’t handle KeyNote lines very well, lengths and orientations were all wrong; 2) Libre doesn’t like to bring in custom fonts during the conversion of Pages.
Both can be worked around.
Libre has come a long way since I last used it many years ago. I feel like I can use it regularly now. Great job!!!

I just posted a "public service announcement" to my (personal) socials warning non-techie family and friends to avoid upgrading to the new OS releases for a couple of months. At least until the first point update this fall.
I don't ever recall having to do a PSA like that before.
I also gave them instructions on how to disable Combined mode in the Phone Recents tab and switch back from Compact mode with Safari's tab bar.

Podczas wewnętrznego spotkania z pracownikami, CEO Apple Tim Cook podkreślił, że nadchodzące produkty firmy są najbardziej ekscytujące w jej historii.
Choć nie podał szczegółów, jego wypowiedź wyraźnie sugeruje, że Apple szykuje duże premiery – zarówno w najbliższym czasie, jak i nieco później.
„Nigdy wcześniej nie czułem takiego entuzjazmu i energii jak teraz. To, co nadchodzi… jest niesamowite”
– powiedział Cook.
Wśród potencjalnych nowości wymienia się m.in. Apple Glasses, nowe urządzenia dla inteligentnego domu (w tym HomePad), a także aktualizacje dla iPhone’a, iPada, Maców i AirPods.
Słowa Cooka mogą być również odpowiedzią na krytykę, że firma zbyt wolno rozwija swoje produkty w obszarze AI, a podobne zdania słyszymy co roku.
Wszystko zweryfikują najbliższe miesiące, a właściwie dwa lata.

El año pasado tenía pensado renovar mi iPhone 12 Pro, pero decidí esperar otro año mas puesto que en realidad el mio me seguía sirviendo (batería a parte) y las mejoras tampoco me enloquecían esperando que este año hubiera un salto. Este año parece que más de lo mismo y a todo esto la batería de mi iPhone 12 Pro sigue mas o menos igual (85%) #AppleKeynote

Well, you know, I still develop on the Apple platform, but I stopped buying Apple Watches when I realized I didn’t even know which version I had.
I switched to a timeless mechanical watch (Hamilton Khaki Field Titanium) and couldn’t be happier.
No battery anxiety, no annoying notifications, and no need to buy the same watch every 2-4 years. And let’s not even talk about the whole lock-in situation.
