Я сменил страну Apple ID и потерял 10 532 трека. Вот как я вернул 6 453 из них

17 лет с покупки первого айфона я складывал музыку в одну медиатеку. Она начиналась с mp3-шек на жёстком диске, пережила переезд в стриминг (через iTunes Match) и росла до марта 2026-го. Плейлисты «Deepden», “Kizaru”, “повтор” — собранные под себя, годами. Потом сверху решили, что оплачивать Apple Music в России никак нельзя. Я закинул 2000 ₽ на счёт Apple, чтобы не умерла синхронизация с iCloud, остальные подписки отменил — с мыслью, что за год решения, как обойти ограничения, найдутся. Так и жил без подписки: медиатека на месте, слушать нельзя. В августе 2026-го понадобился особенный трек, которого не было в Я.Музыке (худший сервис — и, к сожалению, ровно потому, что соблюдает законы РФ). Завёл американский аккаунт — тем более после покупки MacBook Air в американском сторе подарили три месяца халявы. Регистрируюсь, соглашаюсь на триал, открываю «Музыку». Пусто. 10 532 трека — как оказалось позже — канули в лету. Переживал я даже не из‑за конкретных треков, а из‑за плейлистов: там собирались подборки под каждое настроение. Собирать их заново — ни в Я.Музыке, ни где‑то ещё — у меня не было ни желания, ни времени. 6 453 трека и все плейлисты вернулись на место. Ниже — как именно. Как я вернул 6 453 трека

Phew yesterday was a busy day. First up, I went on @BBC5Live's Drive programme to chat to Clare Mcdonnell & Chris Warburton about #Apple finally implementing a direct "kill switch" that turns your #iPhone into a brick if you register it as lost.

It's great news, due to pressure from Sadiq Khan + the Met Police. Previously Apple hoped if criminals couldn't get your #AppleID credentials, all was good, but many people still don't lock their phones, or are using them when they are snatched, so criminals can bombard victims with phishing attempts to get their Apple ID passwords so they can remove the account & factory reset the phone.

It’s one of the days when I receive an unexpected Apple two-factor request so I change the password for my #AppleID, log out every device connected to it to discover that my iPhone does not like to talk to my #Yubikey.
(But the rest of the devices work.)

Just had a really poor support experience with #Apple

Logging into my #AppleID is possible using a #Passkey - great!

Except: I want to remove the passkey but I can't. Passwords app is showing Passkeys: 0. Now this is fun.

The behavior is reproducible with a fresh test user: login via passkey: yay

Show passkey in passwords app: nay

So no I am stuck with a passkey which is out of my control but which can be used to log into my AppleID.

In my book that is a serious concern, but Apple doesn't seem to care. They called back and told me they don't have any additional info. Then I never heard back. I also filed this via Feedback and never heard back.

Called them again today and they were not helpful. So what now? Migrating an Apple ID is possible but if you then delete the old Apple ID your tranferred purchases are no longer transferred.

All this feels really bad. This mess drove me to begin using #Linux Mint in my daily work and I am really liking it.

Tying to fix my parents' in law's apple stuff. They cannot access the appstore on their #iphone (running under an appleID), to get an app, because the #appstore app wants an appleID / #apple account #password - which they no longer know. They can log into their #macbook as a user (same appleID) with their mac_book_user_password
Do I understand it correctly:
they can choose a new #appleid #appleaccount password (to a access the appstore etc.) using the mac_book_user_password to #authenticate ?

@rmondello Great to see export / import added for passkeys ❤️

Having an interesting situation with an #AppleID: login with passkey on macOS 15.5 is possible using Safari 18.5 (20621.2.5.11.8).

But when I open Passwords app it says Passkeys: 0. I opened Safari Settings > Privacy > Manage Website Data … and removed all data just to be sure all local data is removed.

Whether iCloud Passwords & Keychain > Sync this Mac is active or not, Passkeys always shows 0 entries.

When disabling Sync this mac, login via passkey is still possible via passkey in safari.

Major question is: where is the passkey? Seems likely it is somehow stored in Safari. But how would I go about deleting it?

Based on this happening yesterday to someone I know: if you get locked out of your Mac computer, maybe click the question mark button (not sure just when / where this shows up) instead of the "forgot password?” link.

Their computer spontaneously restarted, then rejected login. Going through the "forgot password?” process resulted in unending spinning wheel of doom. Finally started over, tried the “?” button, and got a *different* recovery screen which accepted their Apple ID. #macOS #appleID

Enable iCloud's ADP in the UK After the Ban

Download: Install the Librewolf browser and Proton VPN on your computer.
Connect: Use Proton VPN to connect to a US server. Create a new Apple ID in Librewolf, selecting the US as your region.
Switch Accounts: On your iPhone, log out of your current Apple account and log in with the new one.
You should now have access to ADP! Let me know if it works!
