  1. >Blu-Ray volume of "Futurama_S5_D1".

    Futurama... Slot 5, Drive 1!

    (once always Apple II ;o)

  2. #TauntingBoard has finally been released!
    It's an #Apple2 #MockingBoard clone(ish) with a few changes I'd dare call improvements.

It's free for everyone: print it, build it, enjoy it.

Thanks for #PCBWay for sponsoring not one, but two prototype runs for this board!

Boost if you wish (appreciated!) and/or donate a few credits via Ko-Fi if you want and have some to spare (Not essential, but they'll be used to help pay for components for future projects: believe me, they're helpful, vet expenses are eating away most of disposable income lately).

  3. Had some time today to assemble the second revision of the #Tauntingboard for #Apple2. If this one works bodgeless, I'll get the project ready and release it. Will probably test this in the weekend.

  4. @GamesMissed we've done Fujinet bring ups for a wide variety of machines. Such as #atari8bit #colecoadam #apple2 #trs80coco #msdos #msx and even #atari2600 . More are happening as we speak. Any and all, come join us

  5. Great, the routing for the 53C80 / '133-free #MiSCUSI (#Apple2 #SCSI yada yada) has been completed.

There are some things I want to tweak now, then the fill zones to prepare and tidy up, but I expect the prototype to be ready for a production test within the week.

But this is enough retroing for today: loads of other work to do before the end of the day.

  6. We have a new addition to the 6502 Elite Source Code Family Tree!

Turns out the Elite Demonstration Disc is a fork of the cassette version, but incorporates the docking computer routines from the disc version for the self-flying combat AI.

Welcome to the tree, demo. 🫡

  7. Very good progress on the 53C80 + substituted 74LS133 #MiSCUSI board for the #Apple2.

Routing of signals is complete, only power is left.

  8. Surprisingly, today FedEx came earlier than scheduled and brought me the new revision of my Tauntingboard (mockingboard clone for #Apple2).
This one includes a few fixes and tweaks (including an optional phi2 circuit that uses a 74LS74 instead of the original inverter delay).

I need to complete a few things that are taking space on my workbench before I get to this though.

  9. #VCFEast2026 was a success for #FujiNet. Lots of people saw our diverse #retrocomputing platforms and are starting to understand that we want to bring a useful network adapter to their favorite #atari8bit #Apple2 #TRS80CoCo #MSDOS and more systems.

  10. #x68000 arrived, and everything works awesome.
Because of it I finally got off my butt to also buy the 90cm deep table I was eyeing, so that a #CRT has actual space on it.

Not fully finished yet, but at least I have some space to put some #vintagecomputers on a table.

Will need some shelving as well.

  11. Oh nice, the new revision of the #Tauntingboard for #Apple2 just shipped.

ETA sometime next week when FedEx feels like it.

  12. Rev. 2 of the tauntingboard ( #Apple2 mockingboard clone with a few improvements for my use cases) has been submitted to #PCBWay for sponsorship evaluation.

    We'll see tomorrow.

If lucky enough, I expect to be able to release this to you all by the end of the month.

In other news, I'm terribly behind schedule today.

  13. The MiSCUSI and its bigger brother: the FoxSCSI by @DosFox

    They're fundamentally the same card.
I have to say, I still like THT cards better for an #apple2 , but the MiSCUSI should be cheaper if someone wants it assembled in fab. Might have to look into replacing the 74LS133. It's expensive.

  14. Some bodging to rectify my fuckup and...
The MiSCUSI (#Apple2 #SCSI card) works!!!

Which means that I just need some minor rerouting and I can get ready for a rev.1 release. And then for a 53C80 (MUCH easier to obtain) release too!

  15. My project last weekend was cleaning this Apple Desktop Bus Keyboard, which was rather grungy. #apple2 #aprilapples

  16. My wife was cleaning up her office for a move at work and handed me this. #VintageApple #apple2

  17. The latest nightly builds of #Apple2 #FujiNet have improved the New disk feature, by automatically placing a ProDOS or DOS 3.3 filesystem on the newly created disk image, as shown here.

  18. #Apple2 talking to my #Linux box over #SSH via the #FujiNet adapter, and the CaTer terminal program, which can connect to any supported network endpoint.

    (more info at fujinet.online/)

  19. FujiNet has tools like NGET and NPUT to move stuff between an #apple2, and any network endpoint. But I have consistently tried to ask, what could make the experience more integrated?

  20. Here it is: codeberg.org/hkzlab/Active_NES
Released my variant of the NESII adapter by @Btb

It adds an 4066 IC inside to make it handle some stubborn games that had issues with the purely passive adapter (at least on my Delta clone).

That's it. That's all there is to it.

Now I can play Maniac Mansion on the Delta. And boy that game is a pain on the Apple II.

  21. This is a very cool retrocomputing project. He's taking a modern clone of an old 8088 card for the Apple II that was designed to run CP/M, plus the newly released source code to MS-DOS 2.0 to get MS-DOS running on the Apple II. This video is a summary of progress to date, with a lot more details in his blog #RetroComputing #ComputerHistory #apple2

  22. Just so you all know...
After very limited bodging, I was able to get the #FoxSCSI board (by @DosFox naturally) recognized by the Delta (#apple2 clone) and booting from it using a #BlueSCSI!
