It’s now news when a country accepts a WTO dispute ruling without appealing.
It’s news because without a functioning #WTO #AppellateBody, any appeal cannot be heard—the case falls “into the void”.
Not this one.
China says it will implement the ruling upholding some of Japan’s complaints that China’s anti-dumping actions against Japanese stainless steel violated the WTO Anti-Dumping Agreement.

WTO dispute brought by Japan v India on violating tariff commitments on tech goods—India has "appealed into the void", putting legal proceedings on hold.
The #WTO #AppellateBody can't function because it has no judges and the US is blocking appointments.
The case is legally complex. TL:DR the first-stage panel upheld some of Japan's complaints.
Appeal and implementing the rulings are all now in the void.

Molina said his talks were not a continuation of last year’s US talks. No information has emerged on what was discussed.
The US is the main critic of how appeals are held in WTO #DisputeSettlement. In today’s meeting it blocked appointing appeals judges for the 64th time, so the #AppellateBody still cannot function.
