He tries to play himself as the quirkless kid that taken a special liking to their quirks, but he begins to stalk both of them to the best of his ability (or maybe he’s in gen ed, to make it easier). But the thing is they both are shown to be observant so they notice it. And they don’t mind. Aoyama likes the attention and Ojirou just doesn’t care. Even when Bakugou takes the time to warn them, or students go missing, and they’re getting strange gifts. They think it’s a creepy type of endearing. And when they get the full picture, Izuku is panicking, thoughts are running through his head, where he’ll do anything necessary to keep them with him, they sooth him and carry on. Bakugou and Aoyama meeting in the astral plane with their respective spirit guides in the middle of a ritual, and their guides informing them that they’re soulmates now. Their energy resonates well together, so they saw it fit to bind them together. Obviously they don’t agree with that, but their guides insisted, and they are wise so they don’t voice their disagreement. They don’t try to act like a couple, but they do interact politely (Bakugou isn’t known for polite) and become somewhat close friends. So in school and when they graduate they don’t date, but everyone assumes that they are. They didn’t even realize everyone thought they were dating until Kiri asks Bakugou when he was going to propose. It leaves everyone confused and Bakugou resigns himself to asking Yuuga out. If he were doing the courting, regardless if the person said yes or no, they would stay dazzled for the rest of their life. Deku isn’t as dramatic as Yuuga, but he’d certainly try his best to make his gift something Yuuga would adore. It takes a while and a lot of studying Aoyama, but he eventually has enough to get to it. Few days later, cue a large candid shot of Aoyama at the front of their dorms surrounded by other candid shots, and a large picnic basket of imported cheese in a somewhat sheepish Izuku’s hand, a bag of jewelry and sequins in the other. Aoyama forcing Bakugou to help him set their friends up, because as cute as he thinks it is, it eventually gets annoying and he begins to meddle. And Bakugou only agreed to help cause everyone’s dancing around each other was pissing him off. Then they get together after weeks months years of playing matchmaker for their oblivious classmates.
