Reviewing the plastic models I built in the first half of this year.
1) Penelope (1/144) : I could bring out the kit's potential and make it look better, Within the limits of my modelling skill.
2) I-401 (1/700) : demonstrate one of my own approach, in terms of applying scale-modeling techniques to character-based kits.
3) Gii : refine the details, using additional items such as nail art stickers, while maintaining the kit's basic shape.

New plastic kit: Khao Manee, the first product of Kemo-Pla (けもプラ =furry plastic kit) series by Aoshima.
The size is almost 16cm (≒6 inches) and the joints move well. Because some part of the thighs are sunken, the character can even take a dynamic pose with its legs thrust forward.
The molds of the body hair is a little rough, but it is not a big drawback, and the paws are really cute!(*Attached images show a half-anthropomorphized white cat woman with body hair. They can perhaps be seen/thought as naked.)

Plastic kit: "Variable Fighter Girl: Klan Klang" by Aoshima.
Based on the anime "Macross Frontier", the kit includes a girl character and a fighter plane. The plane can be transformed to the demi-robot style ("Gerwalk" mode) and the girl rides on its back.(*Attached images show a young girl with somewhat revealing clothes.)
