And the setup is now complete with the new USB type C cable, so I can ditch that ugly adapter with separate HDMi, USB-C and power delivery and replace it with just one simple cable.
Took a change with an unknown brand from Amazon, but it aparently works alright…🤡

So, first day is over. My initial impressions are great with #Gigabyte #AORUS #FO32U2. It really is an upgrade compared to the old display.
Now, the cheaper version didn’t come with USB-C cable, so I had to order one, so I can get rid of a bunch of more useless crap (cables, external KVM). And connect the iPad with one cable for charging and display!

It _appears_ that Gigabyte UEFI versions with a letter are pre-release versions, but this is not communicated anywhere as far as I can tell. I'm basing this on the lettered versions leading up to a non-letter release. I installed F33a in Feb and have been having strange issues since. Concerningly this version is gone from the site entirely now. I'm hoping the F33 version improves things.

clearly something's wrong, tho idrk what - i suspect maybe the allocated storage is a lil too full (tho usage seems to indicate little) or if my drive's getting bad, but I shut #Proxmox off and added another NVME storage to it in an empty M.2 slot. Planning to offload that current NVME storage that holds Proxmox and VMs by separating them.
When I powered it back on though... while Proxmox seems to have loaded and accessible on the physical hardware, I couldn't access the Web GUI, and I also couldn't ping its static IP. I logged into it physically, and I couldn't ping the internet or even its local gateway or any other IP in the local network.ip aseems to suggest I got its IP right and that it's up, nothing out of the ordinary in other places either like/etc/hosts,/etc/hostname,/etc/network/interfaces, etc. No idea what's going on here :)) I tried attaching it to two switches - one it came from, and another I use for my personal desktop in my room, same thing so doubt switch's the problem. It could be the LAN cable I suppose but it was def working up until I detached it to add in the SSD.
Oh another weird thing I tried was switching off power from the wall and press and hold the power button for 10+ seconds or so to.. power cycle it? Idk if it'd affect LAN but I know for sure it's a known issue on this stupid #Gigabyte #AORUS motherboard where if WiFi don't work, that's the culprit - I had it a couple of times when it was running #Bazzite (this PC used to be my HTPC), and a bunch of others online reported it happening to them on #Windows (pls just don't buy Gigabyte hardware, they're shit).
