Ich möchte ausrechnen, was 2,35 Millionen Tokens bei #ClaudeAI für ne Sauerrei anrichten.
Nach dem Tool kommt bei claude-opus-4 ein CO₂-Ausstoß von 6 Tonnen raus. Dabei ist aber 0% Ökostrom und das West-Europäische Netz angegeben. Das ist das mit dem niedrigsten CO₂-Ausstoß. Mit dem US-Grid ohne Ökostrom liegt man schon bei 11,5 Tonnen für 2,35 Mio Tokens. Mit Ökostrom kann man natürlich auf Null kommen.
Weiß jemand Details über den Ort der Rechenzentren von #Antrophic für deutsche Anfragen? Und deren aktuellen Strommix?

It makes me sad that, so many open-source projects now use Claude.
I'm not against AI, but I am against supporting companies that actively cause harm and destruction and, legally speaking, commit crimes.
I see a common trend among people to justify this and make them seem “okay”, which may has to do with cognitive dissonance, rarely bringing up any valid counterarguments.
This is not an attempt to discourage the usage of AI entirely. But rather to rethink who and what do you support, with your actions.

Antrophic expresa, en un comunicado, que no está dispuesta a que el Gobierno USA utilice su IA para la vigilancia doméstica masiva e implementar armas totalmente automáticas manejadas por IA.
Esto me parece muy grave. Ya no sólo por lo que reconocen, en ese comunicado, que ya hacen si no por lo que dicen que no están dispuestos a hacer (y que otros, o ellos mismos, harán).

I think #Antrophic #Claude is now being billed per time used basis rather than per compute.
I used to burn rather rapidly through the compute, getting about 2.5-3hours before it put me on the bench.
Recently I got a 5 hour warning.
