Mortality reminds us that life is finite. Violence distorts humanity. Causing harm is fundamentally wrong use our time. We're different in countless ways, yet bound by one truth: we're human not immortals.

...to all those pretending to be so #antiviolence, please remember that the most brutal and unthinkable forms of v¡olence have long been approved and highly celebrated under a single sanitized and glorified term...#war.
so please spare us your lies while nations claim victory every time another generation dies at the hands of "heros" wielding bigger and nastier wmds, who take pictures with the bodies of babies theyve k¡lled and #schools they have b0mbed into dust...

There's over 100 participants signed up for his talks & still time to register for his workshop or for the other workshops available to the public.Moose Hide Campaign Day is a day of ceremony where all Canadians are called to join together to take a stand against violence towards women and children and to take practical steps for our collective journey of reconciliation. Registration is FREE to all participants!

The livestream originating from Victoria, BC. will feature Keynote addresses, along with messages of hope from Co-founders Raven and Paul Lacerte on how we can all work together to end gender based violence in Canada.
You can watch at one of the many community gatherings across Canada, or with family and loved ones via YouTube.
There will be two keynote speakers for the General Plenary, featuring Elain Alec and Michael Kaufman!
Once you register, you will have an opportunity to participate in two virtual workshops via Zoom. Facilitators on a variety of topics will help deepen your understanding of gender-based violence, and empower you with the tools and knowledge to help end this critical issue in our country.
Events and walks will be hosted by communities, schools and groups across Canada! Check the map below to join one in your area!
https://moosehidecampaign.ca/campaignday/#mapAs in common in many Indigenous cultures, fasting is a symbol of commitment, and a way to deepen your intention. We encourage everybody to participate in the fast from sunrise to sunset on Moose Hide Campaign Day.
The Sunrise Ceremony from the East Coast of Turtle Island starts the day with intention. You can watch the ceremony on YouTube when the sun rises in your location.
There will be a livestream of the fast-breaking ceremony where witnesses from across Canada share their experiences from the day.

Why it is NOT OK to wear an #AntiViolence #Indigenous moose hide movement pin - when you're part of #RCMP #CIRG who commits violence & violates human rights on Indigenous women/men/youths/elders on unceded native lands:
"Moose hide is a symbol of taking a stand against violence and undoing the effects of Residential Schools.
Co-founders Paul and his daughter Raven were hunting moose to help feed their family for the winter and provide for cultural purposes. This was a grounding tradition on their land that passed knowledge from one generation to the other, something the residential school system tried to erase.
They felt connected to their surroundings within their Carrier territory along the Highway of Tears in Northern BC where so many women have gone missing or been murdered. And they were inspired.
Paul knew his young daughter deserved a life of dignity and respect free from violence.
And so it began… a cultural tradition of generational teachings became a symbol of a responsible, meaningful pledge.
A commitment to take action in honour of women and children everywhere, and a symbol of honouring Indigenous medicine and belonging that is here to stay."

CW: Anti-gay hate crimes #QueerHistory #LGBTQ
For folks unfamiliar with LGBTQ/queer history of the 1990s, I recommend watching "Last Call" on HBO. It's a four-episode series airing Sundays at 9pm Eastern. The 1st episode aired last week. The 2nd airs tonight.

I was a volunteer at the Anti-Violence Project during that time. I remember.

I am trying to write an #antiviolence #manifesto for games. I target specially #ttrpg This is difficult. I'll paste in the following messages what I've got so far. What do you think? Is something unclear? Is there a probable misunderstanding I should lift? Am I missing something obvious ? (or not so obvious?)

Hi!
Just wanted to remind #trans folks that if you are concerned about your relationships and are trying to navigate exiting an abusive relationship, there are trans-specific resources that can help.
FORGE has a trans/GNC-specific safety planning tool here (raw link)
https://forge-forward.org/resource/safety-planning-tool/
FORGE also provides great information on how IPV can look different for trans/GNC people, like restricting access to gender-confirming care and how that might look.
Stay healthy, my friends.
