You are shit. You will always be shit. No matter what good you've done in your life, no matter how kind you are to your family and friends, no matter how hard you work, no matter what accomplishments you have to your name, you're still shit. Add a drop of diarrhea to a bottle of the finest champagne, and you have a bottle of shit.
(Hardly any of you were ever champagne. MD 20/20, mostly. But some were at least decent drinks, before ... you know.)
Those of us who are not shit, particularly in the #medical biz, will keep trying to keep you from going down the toilet. Not because you deserve it: you don't. Because we're thinking, feeling, decent human beings. Because we're better than you. We want to be able to look at ourselves in the mirror, and we don't want to see shit like you looking back.
Still, at this point it's hard to feel sorry when you inevitably get flushed.

You know this was always their endgame. The bullshit answers #RFK Jr. and his fellow loons gave Congress were even more transparent lies than all the other confirmation hearing testimony. Everyone who voted to confirm them shares the blame, but Bill #Cassidy has earned a special place in hell.
#Bondi, #Hegseth, #Noem, and all the rest of the cabinet are all assholes, and profoundly dangerous. Justice and Homeland Security are slaying their thousands, and Defense is gearing up to slay its tens of thousands. Health and Human Services is chuckling at them and saying "amateurs."
I'm skeptical that any amount of lobbying #HHS directly, or any of its sub-departments such as #FDA, #NIH, and #CDC, will have much effect. But maybe, just maybe, calling your #Senators and #Representatives will have an effect.
Let's face it, members of #Congress will suffer a lot less from idiocy like #tariffs than the rest of us, and they're (probably) safe from roundup and #deportation. #Viruses don't care about such distinctions. Mighty and humble alike can choke to death on their own liquefying lung tissue.
#Antivaxers are not "skeptics." They're not interested in evidence. They can't be bargained with, they can't be reasoned with, and they absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

Marty Makary and Tracy Hoeg at the FDA are currently trying to set a policy that would effectively eliminate all covid vaccines. They want to require a full clinical trial every year for companies to update the covid vaccine to match the current strain, which they know is not possible.
Please contact the FDA and demand continuing access to yearly updated covid vaccines and ask for the Novavax 2025 covid vaccine to be approved.

Exactly as expected, the #FDA has canceled its meeting to select which #flu strains will be included in the next round of #vaccines. Given the time lag involved, this means updated vaccines will not be ready for this fall’s flu season.
#Antivaxers who claim to hold a compromise position, or that they can be persuaded by sufficient evidence, are always lying. They’re fanatics, every single one. You probably know that already, but it bears repeating.

There are a number of panicky Facebook posts, to which I will not link, going around about the "shocking" discovery that #mRNA #vaccines cross the #placental barrier. Which really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, but #antivaxers gonna #antivax.
Okay, the discovery is real enough. Note that this is a pre-print version, meaning there may be some typos and such, but nothing that's likely to change the results.
The problem is ... well, there's no problem here! #Maternal #immunity, however acquired, is routinely passed on to #fetuses: we're all born with #immune systems primed to deal with whatever #diseases our mothers have encountered, and that's a *good thing*.
Of course antivaxers who freak out about any occurrence of the abbreviation "mRNA," like the same people often freak out about the word "pronoun" or the "cis-" and "trans-" prefixes, think this is somehow evil.
It's not. It means *fewer dead kids*. These people would literally rather kill their children than learn anything that contradicts their ideology.

Donald Trump chooses anti-vaccine activist Robert F Kennedy Jr as health secretary | Stuff
Kennedy has espoused misinformation around the safety of vaccines, including pushing a totally discredited theory that childhood vaccines cause autism.
He also has said he would recommend removing fluoride from drinking water. The addition of the material has been cited as leading to improved dental health.
Kennedy’s anti-vaccine nonprofit group, Children’s Health Defence, currently has a lawsuit pending against a number of news organizations, among them The Associated Press, accusing them of violating antitrust laws by taking action to identify misinformation, including about Covid-19 and Covid-19 vaccines.
