Our neighbour (he bought an adjacent hectare from us) did a farm "blessing" today (priest, religious friends, holy water, it's a whole thing here).
Wife went but correctly assumed I would not be interested.
Then our farm manager came back to the house and said the blessing was done, they have food, would I like to join?
Join a large group of extremely religious people to make small talk while trying to eat decorously and deflect intrusive questions about my life?
There are so many nopes (five, to be precise) in that sentence...
Needless to say I declined politely.
