The decision is the latest in a series of moves by the U.S. and Russia that have escalated tensions between the two.

A new report by Schemes, the investigations unit of RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service, reveals the names and identities of Russian soldiers responsible for laying #antipersonnel #mines in Ukraine.

The mines are banned under an international agreement, which Ukraine is party to but Russia is not.

Genuine existential threat of genocide might provide some temporary moral justification for limiting unrestricted movement by uninvited armed foreigners with all manners of deranged "ill feelings".

We all know exactly how russians can avoid being harmed by these defensive devices on *Ukrainian* territory.

Talking about justificating, there are times when "#bothsidesism" isn't the ideal approach. I haven't bothered to check if the leadership of #AmnestyInternational has figured that out yet.
