Another week of demonstrating at #TeslaTakedown has arrived. Do you live in or near #Philadelphia? Come to the Tesla dealership on Lancaster Ave in Devon. We gather at 11 am. Bring a sign or borrow one of mine, I have a nearly a dozen at this point. I'll be standing near the Tesla sign.

I had to explain human rights to my personal assistant (I am disabled) yesterday. She claims to be not political and neutral and said that she doesn't understand why so many people (in Germany) are not fine with the government cutting off all financial resources as punishment for people who depend on them and break certain rules (missing several obligatory appointments).
Instead of discussing the reasons why people might not be able to follow the rules, I pointed out that even the worst people deserve human rights, that even prisoners have a roof above their head and get free food and she got my point.
This is what human rights are for. You don't have to understand all the individual reasons why people behave in a certain way, if you don't have the capacity for it, but if you are fine with punishing people with starvation and other forms of cruelty you are not apolitical, you are not neutral, you are against human rights.
