Dieses Mal wollen wir den Fokus aus gegebenem Anlass auf digitale Formen sexualisierter Gewalt richten - fassungslos und wütend solidarisieren wir uns mit Collien Fernandes, die Scham muss die Seite wechseln!
Für die Aktion treffen wir uns am Mittwoch, den 25.03. um 17:45 Uhr an der Bushalltestelle am Durlacher Tor / Bernardusplatz (oberirdisch)

Als Wiedererkennungszeichen könnt ihr gerne etwas Rotes, wie eine rote Mütze oder einen Schal, tragen.

Um was geht’s genau?Mit „Stitches against violence“ („Maschen gegen Gewalt“) möchten wir auf geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt aufmerksam machen. Diese Gewalt umfasst insbesondere Gewalt gegen Frauen und damit alle Handlungen, die sich gegen eine Frau richten, weil sie eine Frau* ist und zu körperlichen, sexuellen, psychischen oder wirtschaftlichen Schäden oder Leiden führen. Dazu gehört außerdem auch die Androhung von solchen Gewalttaten und auch Gewalt, die sich gegen trans, intergeschlechtliche oder nicht-binäre Personen richtet, aufgrund ihres (zugeschriebenen) Geschlechts sowie ihrer Geschlechtsidentität.
Geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt steht im Kontext patriarchaler Machtstrukturen. Die Täter sind fast immer Männer und die Partner, Expartner, Ehemänner, Väter oder Söhne der Betroffenen. Die höchste Eskalationsstufe von geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt sind Femizide – das Töten von Frauen, trans, intergeschlechtlichen und nicht-binären Personen aufgrund ihres Geschlechts. Fast jeden Tag wird in Deutschland ein Femizid verübt.
Warum protestieren wir strickend und häkelnd?
Handarbeit, wie es auch Stricken und Häkeln sind, stehen in unserem Protest symbolisch für das Häusliche. Zu Hause sollte für alle Personen ein sicherer Ort sein, allerdings sieht die Realität anders aus. Geschlechtsspezifische Gewalt findet häufig im näheren sozialen Umfeld und im eigenen zu Hause der betroffenen Personen statt. Indem wir mit unserem Protest die private und häusliche Handarbeit in den öffentlichen Raum bringen, wollen wir auf die Gefahr aufmerksam machen, der viele Betroffene in ihrem eigenen zu Hause ausgeliefert sind.

KÜNSTLERISCHE STRATEGIEN ZUR DE-RADIKALISIERUNG AUF SOCIAL MEDIA: Workshop mit Caspar Weimann
Rechte Netzwerke nutzen soziale Medien und Algorithmen als effiziente Werkzeuge, um eine rassistische, antifeministische, LGBTQIA+-feindliche Politik durchzusetzen und den gesamtgesellschaftlichen Diskurs Schritt für Schritt nach rechts zu verschieben. Mithilfe von Social Media konnten sie die AfD als mächtigen parlamentarischen Arm und als festen Bestandteil unseres Parteiensystems installieren und damit seit mittlerweile vielen Jahren die Kampfrhetorik in konkrete Politik umsetzen.
Im Workshop blicken wir aus einer künstlerischen Perspektive auf Social Media als gesellschaftliche Bühne, die einerseits der perfekte Nährboden für verkürzende, emotionalisierende Inhalte und damit zur gezielten Radikalisierung ist, andererseits aber auch einer der wenigen Räume ist, in denen man sich diesen Dynamiken wirkungsvoll und zielgruppenspezifisch entgegenstellen kann (und muss). Dafür werden konkrete und zugängliche interventionistische Ansätze vorgestellt, die Radikalisierungsdynamiken aktiv durchbrechen können und die übersetzbar sind für die eigene künstlerische Praxis im Kontext einer digitalisierten Wirklichkeit.

Right-wing networks use social media and algorithms as efficient tools to implement racist, antifeminist, and anti-LGBTQIA+ policies, gradually shifting the broader societal discourse to the right. Through social media, they have been able to establish the AfD as a powerful parliamentary arm and a permanent fixture of our party system, translating combative rhetoric into concrete political action for many years now.
In this workshop, we will examine social media from an artistic perspective as a societal stage: on one hand, it serves as the perfect breeding ground for reductive, emotionally charged content and targeted radicalization; on the other, it remains one of the few spaces where these dynamics can be effectively and strategically countered (and must be).
