Working on a short comic, and this is a small piece of it, demonstrating the exposition that Spark E. (left) has had an argument with his adopted sister, Lam E.

The comic will be a short musing on how I gauge my self-image on a positive-to-negative scale. This image is only tangentially related.

(I've had this comic floating around in my head for a year or so.)

As a restaurant host,
I don't always get verbal acknowledgment
from my guests.

(Others just interrupt my greeting.)

When a guest flashes two fingers,
the idea of an impending magical transformation amuses me,
though obviously I don't tell them that.

I did the pencil sketch of this on Sunday, when I got the message that my stylus was arriving on that very day instead of this Thursday.

Anyway, my tools are ready, and now you all get to see Sp4rk 3. and his gang again.

The tablet I drew reflects what my real one looks like now, and the layout of the coffee shop (at least what's visible here) is also more or less accurate.

Finished "Peanut Butter Wheat Kibble."

Included a background (not originally planned).

I changed the aspect ratio to 16 x 9, altering the composition to a point where I had to find a use for all that empty space along the side margins and in the upper left quadrant.

Cue the creation of the wallpaper runner and some kitchen cabinets!
