I started this trying out a painterly style. It was fun, but I eventually scrapped that version and fell back on my old methods, using vector lines for the character, raster layers for the other layers, a pattern brush for the bricks, and a flowing water brush for the raindrops.

The last panel is Spark E. riding home with Lam E. holding an armful of tennis balls with one in his mouth, saying, "I now understand your frustration."

Two versions of a #wip panel from a comic I'm working on.
About a month back, I contracted bronchitis. It was, fortunately, short lived. It was bad enough, however, to cost me about 18 hours of my sick/safe balance (paid time off banked over time with hours worked).
Here, Spark E. expresses his dismay over losing PTO due to staggered symptoms over the course of an illness, as happened to me.

After 3 attempts, I received a #facemask in the mail that had the correct image print proportions I wanted for my Spark E. fursona.
My next plan is to get a black balaclava and a white one, cut and stitch them together, get two white arm cooling sleeves, and fabric marker in the spots. I'd leave the mouth open so I could wear the mask with it.

The color of the lyrical addition really wore on my while I was trying to figure out how to make it pop without overpowering the rest of the image... It was a lot harder than one might think.
