#anthrobordercollie — Public Fediverse posts

I've not prepared any work for pride month yet, but I just revisited this piece from last year. Shadows and highlights added, along with a little blue in the sky, some sunlight, and a lens flare.

Happy Pride Month!

"Sailors' Mess"
(I've had this comic floating around in my head for a year or so.)

As a restaurant host,
I don't always get verbal acknowledgment
from my guests.

(Others just interrupt my greeting.)

When a guest flashes two fingers,
the idea of an impending magical transformation amuses me,
though obviously I don't tell them that.

I probably won't finish my video #minimarch project, but here's the first sprite I made for it. 4 walk cycles.

Whaddaya mean I need a baff?! I not stimky!
(He was, in fact, stimky!)

For the translation bots:
"What do you mean, I need a bath?! I don't stink! (He did, in fact, stink!)"

When I'm making my cosplay, I rely on some unconventional techniques, like painting with screen ink, and wearing the sleeves while I paint them.

Morning Activity? Breakfast and Scrolling.

Breakfast? Peanut Butter Wheat Kibble with oat milk.

Scrolling? Probably Cara, or Fedi, or something like that...

Started this yesterday. Here's the current state of the piece. I made two new brushes to quicken my pace... the nondescript writing on the boxes, and the kibble/cereal itself.

Just finished this #Thanksgiving (u.s.) comic today.

Also in the works: a brief video reviewing the Barkour demo.

I plan to conclude this skit/storyboard with Lam E. (the sheep in this storyboard) getting back at Spark E. (the border collie, who is her adopted brother) by pointing out a Tennis Ball Outlet. Spark E. then begs her to pull over.

The last panel is Spark E. riding home with Lam E. holding an armful of tennis balls with one in his mouth, saying, "I now understand your frustration."

"A Hero-Dog's Gotta Do..."

The color of the lyrical addition really wore on my while I was trying to figure out how to make it pop without overpowering the rest of the image... It was a lot harder than one might think.

Lyrics are borrowed and modified from "A Man's Gotta Do What a Man's Gotta Do" from Doctor Horrible's Singalong Blog, sung by Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day.

"Urban Ace"

Remember that "draw your OC in what you're wearing now" challenge? I cheated at that one. When I saw it, I wasn't wearing anything remarkable, so I waited until I was to try it out.

This took a few days, but I like the way it turned out. I'm not actually from the city, but I work in a city, I am asexual, and this is what I was wearing that day. The signs are just a silly pun.

Also, happy 1st of #Pride.

Just to let you know, he * will * need the paw back after he gets the treat.

His left arm is supposed to be tucked behind his back, just in case anyone was wondering about that.

EDIT: I just realized I forgot to put in the drawstrings on his hoodie.

The word of the day is ✨cute✨!

The second image has had a very subtle blooming effect added to a few of the layers. Comics are a fun thing to do, but I always take too long to complete them. This type of thing is so much easier and faster.
