  1. It seems there are people trying to bring back Antergos :gblackcat_emmmm:

Kinda miss it, one of the early distro I use

  4. I've finally decided that @archlinux is my distro, and I've gone back to @EndeavourOS, which reminds me most of #Antergos, which brought me here in the first place.
Bringing forward or delaying #DesktopFriday, this is how it turned out:

  5. @hisold As per the #ArchLinux wiki you are the installer (easier methods are to use #Antergos or #CachyOS) so you really understand how everything in your system is glued together and what depends on what. If you can follow the wiki properly it is only two hours but a rabbit hole into the internal workings of a #Linux Distro. This usually trains the user and helps customize a machine to our needs, akin to a #Samurai forging their own sword. Running #postgres on #docker also helps.

  6. Trying out @EndeavourOS. My last #Arch based distro was #Antergos 6/7 years back before moving to Debian based distros. I also read that EndeavourOS rose up when Antergos went down.

    #FOSS #GNULinux #distrohop

  7. I've been an and @EndeavourOS user in the past and I like what they are doing. Their latest blog post I have to say was *awkwardly* presented and could lead to much confusion. I get that they were trying to be eye catching and clever but I think it's just come across as awkward.

  8. #Linux distribution hoppings on my desktop as a daily driver (iirc):
    1999 #SuSE
    2002 #Debian
    2005 #Ubuntu
    2018 #Antergos
    2020 #Arch Linux

  9. Die neue Version der Arch-basierten Distribution wartet mit viel Feinschliff auf und ist auch für Rechner mit ARM-CPU verfügbar.

  10. I used to run on my main rig and then switched to . On one of my laptops, I recently installed and am loving the pure feel and semi-rolling upgrade model. I first started my adventures with with back in version 9.2. Having been under impressed with , I am debating between and for my main rig. Semi-rolling is kinda nice!

Help me decide the next distro for my main rig, daily driver workstation.

  11. @cavaliertusky I used to get this on which was based. I just waited.

  12. My laptop is running #antergos (which is an #ArchLinux under the hood) and just about every time I close the lid, suspend it and log in again, the screen just goes black.
The laptop has a GeForce MX150 combined with Intel HD graphics card. Has anyone ever had similar problems?

So far so good. Només que poden haver mogudes si algun d'aquests repos manuals té biblioteques base de versions posteriors a la de la versió actual... #LinuxPorn

  14. @[email protected] @[email protected] #Manjaro uses their own repos. They hold back Arch packages to test them for stability before moving them into their repos. #Antergos is more of a graphic installer for Arch. They directly use the Arch repos plus one of their own that holds a couple of Antergos-specific packages.

  15. @[email protected] I agree with #Antergos. I prefer #Arch and have it on most of my installs but I decided to go with Antergos when setting up my most recent PC last August. I think it is a great alternative for Arch users who have learned their way around The Arch Way but are getting too old to be bothered with starting from scratch every time.

  16. @[email protected] What about #Antergos? Any #Arch based distro should be able to use one of the AUR helpers like #yaourt on the command line or #pamac-aur graphically to install packages. Opinion: Much better than having a mess of PPAs and snaps and flatpacks and appimages and....
