According to the Compugraphic page on wikipedia "Following the success of the EditWriter, Compugraphic introduced [somewhere in the 70's] the Modular Composition System, known as the "MCS". The entire system was modular, including the software, which was delivered on 5" floppy disks. As the product matured, a "#WYSIWYG" (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) display was added (the PreView) so that a user could see a "soft" view of a job before it was typeset. This was followed up by the PowerView whereby the user worked directly on a "WYSIWYG" display. The MCS was a huge success, and also marked a change in technology from 8bit to 16bit (Intel 8086) cpu hardware."

Avec dedans la #Baskervvol "Le Baskervvol est une reprise par BBB du #Baskervville de l’Atelier national de Recherche typographique (#ANRT), lui-même repris du #Baskerville de #ClaudeJacob de 1784, dessiné par #JohnBaskerville en 1750. John Baskerville est un cas exemplaire de l’#invisibilisation des femmes dans l’histoire de la #typographie (Voir #LoraineFurter. Crystal Clear, 2020). #SarahEaves, sa compagne et associée, qui reprit l’imprimerie à la mort de Baskerville, n’a jamais été créditée pour son travail bien qu’elle ait largement participé à l’élaboration de caractères et d’imprimés commercialisés par son mari. En 1996, la typographe #ZuzanaLicko dessinera un caractère en son honneur. Depuis 2018, le Baskervvol est augmenté collectivement de glyphes inclusifs. Là où les universités exigent pour l’écriture d’articles scientifiques l’utilisation du Times New Roman, sous licence privative et aux droits réservés, l’utilisation du Baskervvol, une police de caractères présentant une autorité stylistique et historique similaire, mais libérée par sa licence, permet l’introduction de glyphes non binaires dans les lieux normatifs de diffusion des savoirs."
