I’m currently reading another #Discworld #book by #TerryPratchett. I’m on to Guards! Guards! which is about the #NightWatch, what passes for the police in the city of #AnkhMorpork. What I love about Pratchett is how he smuggles contemporary cultural references into that world. For instance, the entrance of the Watch House has the motto FABRICATI DIEM, PVNC on it. It took me a moment to work it out (I got confused by the “V”) but then I burst out laughing. Bravo.

Spent today recovering from jetlag and writing a #DND encounter for my #Discworld-loving friends. It’s set in #AnkhMorpork, featuring Fred, CMOT, Gaspode, and a guy at the chip shop who swears he's Elvish.
Rewatching Matt Colville's *Running The Game* series has helped me focus on prepping only what I need. Hope I’ll do it justice!
It's amazing how much research goes into making things up for a session—I even called my SO in Ireland to break out the AM map for logical placement!
