I had a great time at #AWA! It was so much fun! I really needed this break. I met so many nice people & saw many awesome cosplays! I really wasn't sure if I'd be able to go this year because of the date change, but things actually worked out!

Home from a long (but fulfilling) weekend at Anime Weekend Atlanta. My roommates were great guys, but one snores horribly, and the other has to have the tv on to sleep. As a basement dweller who listens to radio free fedi comfy (and i guess I'll be going back to my old standby of my Enya album in January) to sleep.... I am a very eepy girl.
Spent almost $200 in artist alley, mostly stickers, but also some pins and prints.
Hastily half-assed radio pouch worked pretty well once i got the elastic straps to an appropriate length. Not sure why my headset was just way too fucking quiet, though. #AWA, #AnimeWeekendAtlanta -

@mdhughes The other thing I thought about this morning is that the AMV Hell 8 promo reminded me of going to the AMV awards at #AnimeWeekendAtlanta 2022 and seeing the same clips AMV editors have been using for 20 years, and still on display here: Evangelion, sure, it’s eternal, but *Azumanga Daioh*? Why aren’t we seeing AMVs use more recent stuff with fun animation and meme-ability like Kaguya-sama or Pop Team Epic?

We had a fantastic time this weekend returning to Anime Weekend Atlanta, and we'll be back on the air next week! A huge thank you to all the fans who stopped by, both new and old. It's a little weird to be back in the convention circuit, but we're looking forward to attending other well run events soon!
