A friend was talking last night about what our boss themes are and, though I can't pick just 1, this particular track popped into mind as a definite candidate:

The initial melody, the bloody gorgeous harmony line in the repeat portion, and then one of the few violin solos I truly like. As terrible as I am with names, this is one of those tracks that I'll never confuse with anything else :espeon_love:

Last year, I fell head-over-heels for the anime Princess Principal :zerotwo_blush:​ It's a yuri spy anime set in a steampunk world that focuses heavily on character-driven narratives, even when it's in the context of larger events (yes, there's a princess involved).

It's an anime original which, for those that know my media habits, might be a bit surprising (I tend to read manga 90% of the time over watching the anime if possible). So how did I come across it and why did I watch it :neko_question:​

:espeon_love:​ Kajiura Yuki (梶浦由記) :bear_love:​ my favourite composer (I'm sorry, Bach). She holds live performances of her various soundtrack compositions every year or two and one of those performances featured the Princess Principal soundtrack :dracthyr_yay:​ (/backstory)
