I know this is very out-of-season for a Christmas song, but first off, Christmas songs can bring good mood, and also, when have I ever needed an excuse to post Animaniacs stuff? 😁

Developed and published by Konami released in 1994

Although Konami developed both the SNES and Mega Drive versions they're both completely different games.

That way they could basically make a very similar joke by using the second word of "Sistine Chapel" instead of the first.

And as someone who often tries to explain or translate puns, I'm really impressed how well the translation team for Animaniacs did MANY jokes like that back then.

Compare that to Simpsons, where even some basic words were translated like translators totally lacked context.
(Translating "tear" in spacetime (fabric tearing) with the word for "tear" (crying), for example.

So, yeah, good translation is an art in itself!

I have to say, I'm a bit surprised.

Don't get me wrong, when it comes to Animaniacs, my main attention certainly lies with Dot!

But come on, Ditto from the episode "The island of Dr Warneau" is also damn cute, right?!

So, how come Ditto only has, like, three fanarts on e621? Girl deserves hugs and cuddles as well!
Maybe I need to commission some, at some point. 😊

Aaaand Animaniacs movie "Wakko's Wish" watched!

There doesn't actually happen too much in it, but it's a really cute and fun movie and the ending concludes several of the show's running gags.

It's really nice, and it's a pity we didn't get a second movie after the "reboot".

To add, have two screenshots from it, of Dot, obviously. Even though Skippy also gets a cute little situation in the movie, but, well, see that for yourself.

Funny enough, the plot of this movie is basically the same that "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish" would later use. The Puss in Boots movie is, obviously, much more complex and serious, of course!

For Dot:
Aww, look at her! I also want her to sleep cuddled up to me like that. And that cute look, cuddled against Yakko's hand! ❤️

I (sadly) finished all episodes of the original Animaniacs.

Now I'm watching the DVD interviews that the US DVD seems to have, and I really enjoy some behind the scenes stuff.

I also love interviews with all the awesome voice actors. It's so impressive how even people aged 60+ can still do such awesome silly-childish voices.
I mean, I can barely keep up my own voice. 😁

So, that's all really impressive and certainly so much work from all the staff!

Try to stay alive, every former Warner talent! As soon as I'm a millionaire we'll have another Animaniacs season!

I'll bring back the gag credits and Slappy Squirrel!
