Making Connections and Finding A Calling
It wasn't that long ago that I thought about my writing as separate from the pet grief coaching work I do or the somatic Wild Spirit Storytelling work I do connecting with equine wisdom and wild wisdom. When you added on the author coaching, well it felt like four (or five?) separate bu

Writing My Life’s Purpose
Animals have always played an important role in my life. Growing up, I felt as if my pets understood me far better than any people. Animals were my safe harbor in a very turbulent upbringing, and even before I realized I was neurodivergent and what that entailed, my connection with animals help me to

With months of more or less cold weather and snow on the ground, and the path from her porch being snow, ice, water, mud, at various times/combinations, Pearly hasn't been outside much. On milder days she has sat on the porch, and a few times has ventured just below, but no 'excursions'.

#caturday Pearly sitting on the step for some fresh air, yesterday afternoon. She wasn't out that long, didn't want to go in yet when I was walking out to check the mail, so I tucked her blanket around her. Around -9C/15F it will get a lot colder for the next few days. #cats #AnimalCompanions #winter #Alberta #cozy

Decided to pull out a few pics from summer, and randomly checked a folder from #June- 228 pics and vids that hadn't even had a first sorting...lol

When you break bread with your companion at table, when you share precious ressources (fresh clean water, good food, shelter, a million squeaky dog toys), you are also expressing respect for your companion, for the meaning that you are making together.

1/ Rough day- we found a new home for the kitty that adopted us, and they picked him up this evening. A relief because outdoors here is very unsafe for cats- scary for him at night especially, and very stressful for us worrying about him, trying to be out there a lot, etc.
Nonetheless, very emotional day for us- I have photos to post (of the more than 60 I took today, lol) but not up to editing them now-- #cats #rehoming #AnimalCompanions #HeartBroken
