В Angular уже достаточно давно появилась возможность обрабатывать изменения данных через этот примитив, и большинству людей он уже знаком, но мало кто понимает, как он устроен под капотом. В ходе статьи мы разберём, что из себя представляет сигнал, в каких библиотеках он встречается, а также напишем свою собственную наивную реализацию сигнала и на её основе детально разберём принцип его работы. It's a one of those first-generation single page apps, where everything resides in JS files. In my case a 430kb vendor JS file and a 33kb app JS file.

I can turn the content into static HTML files using react-snap.

But that JS stuff is still being loaded. Is it needed?

I can disable JavaScript in the browser: everything looks fine.

Except one thing: the menu on mobile doesn’t open anymore. 😭

My workplace uses #React. I gave it a try with one project to get to know it, and while it does reduce a lot of #JavaScript boiler plate, I have found it clunky to deal with.

I've written bare-bones JS for manipulating the DOM… it's tedious. https://github.com/sjlongland/js-calendar just uses the browser DOM functions directly.

Prior to that, we were using #AngularJS (v1, never graduated from that). I never used it enough to really get to know how it worked.

The only other framework I've come anywhere near recently is #JQuery -- in the context of the #NodeRED UI.

Is there an alternate framework one should be looking more closely at?
