Seven anglers had the end of Ballycotton pier to themselves, rods out over the water, while the sun went down behind the far shore. I was there for the sunset and happy to photograph the fishermen looking for fish....

Anyone who lives in this venerable old city has the opportunity to see how much has changed since then. I think that anglers, just as in the past, are still fishing.

There are 3 pools surrounded by our Local #Naturereserve that aren't actually in it. They are heavily stocked with carp and used by #anglers ( a strong lobby group.) who claim to be totally for #wildlife/ #Ecology. I think there's a conflict but am being persuaded that we have to work with them. Anybody have experience /views on this. #ecologists
