Exploring on a bike is my primary style of visiting Angkor Archaeological Park. This beautiful Rolls Royce had brought a nice, elderly couple for their dream trip to Angkor for a long time.
I can understand that urge.
There are several companies renting out sporty and/or vintage cars for people looking for that special travel experience in Siem Reap. Or planning a very special event.

Night markets in Siem Reap are in several spots. This one is from the newest, established in 2018.
The blue colour of the hour just after sunset is enhanced by a large painting in blue variations of a Bayon portrait. These stylised portraits covers the facade of Bayon Temple in Angkor Thom.
The night markets are one of the night life activities in Siem Reap, visited by tourists and locals alike.

A treasure at mysterious West Prasat Top
This little temple is one of the hidden treasures near the beaten track.
It is close to the west side of the dried out East Baray. Been in use back to the 900s, when the baray was built.
But the current single tower, built on a pink laterite stone platform, is of post Bayon style. Built after 1200CE. And used long after the Empire. The lintels contain some decor from the 1100s. It's a templemix of 400 years.

Las Apsara, las bailarinas celestiales.Cuando visitaba los templos de #Angkor, me llamaba la atención unas escenas que se repetían en algunos bajorelieves. Parecían tomadas del #VigInstagram de la época porque eran bailarinas en poses como de postureo, con todos los respetos.
Se recomienda que antes de visitar los templos, visites el museo donde se explican estas cosas, pero no siempre puedes planificar el viaje como quisieras.
Ya, poco a poco fui conociendo sobre el tema. Y ahora suelto un hilo de esos. 🧵
