Finally, a #centipede!

People are scared when one of these fellows runs across the floor. However I think they're fascinating. This one here is a smaller species, but its relative, the Mediterraenean banded centipede, can grow to lengths up to ~18 centimetres.

Another bird species that originally didn't belong here are #Chukar partridges. They're funny little creatures, making the cutest noises when startled.*

The ones I encountered yesterday went for a walk in the forest with their chicks.

*I took these photos with a long tele lens, trying to minimise stress to the animals and their offspring.

In other news, I saw some #peafowls today. There is a small population that was introduced to #Agistri island a long time ago, and over the decades they made their way into the ecosystem.
