  1. Old abandoned bromine works, Amlwch, north Wales 🏭

The plant was decommissioned and decontaminated in the mid-2000s. Much of the site was demolished soon after, but several interesting buildings still remain. These areas once extracted bromine from seawater.

  2. And of course it wouldn't be right to go out for lunch and not post a pic of the actual lunch.

Not to mention the V12 engine block coffee table and quirky tree with the moon visible above it, or the view down to Cemas bay through trees.

  7. Visited an old church on the Northern tip of the island. The story goes that the man who built it married a Moorish woman and thus decorated the church with tiles from her homeland. Some of which can still be seen at the altar... along with the xmas decs they've not yet taken down. πŸ˜†

It survived a fire about 20yrs go and was rebuilt again. The majority of the stained glass and pews survived as the fire was mostly contained to the roof.

  12. Whilst out the most Northerly tip of Angelsey today, just outside Cemas. The weather was so clear, you could see all the way across to the Isle of Man and the hills/mountains near Douglas and Castletown.

Met some locals from Cemas who said that they can't remember the last time they could see across that far.

Not a great shot with a pixel 6 pro camera... It's days like this I wish I had my Pentax X5 bridge camera on me. I really should keep it in the car again.

One of the little β€œjewels” you can find around North Wales lies just off the Newborough/Niwbwrch coast on the island of Anglesey: Ynys Llanddwyn.
