Wow, just won my first #angband game ever! Ultimately found success with a Dunadan Ranger. Wasn't sure I would ever have achieved that, but my last character (a High-Elf Mage) got close, but was killed by Sauron.

Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup aka #dcss is pretty damn hard. Even playing the recommended "easy build" of a Gargoyle Berserker, I keep dying around character and dungeon level 5. It's like you go straight from fighting a few loose rats and snakes to getting ambushed by an entire orc army all at once. And you can't grind XP because each level is permanent and the monsters stay dead, unlike in #Angband and #ADOM. #roguelike #yasd

I'm just in fckn shock. What started as only a couple of small adjustments to a forgotten forked repo, evolved to have a mind, a life, feelings, on its own.
Not only every run is a fckn thrill. You dive, feel and breathe through the walls, the ground, the Dungeons. Awesome. And more ideas and additions to come. -
