"The face" - And Why Not?

The opening riff sounds exactly like Hipsway's 1986 minihit "The honey thief".

The bulk of the song has a bassline sounding almost - but not entirely - like The Spice Girls' "Wannabe".

Wayne, Michael, and Hylton were The Next Big Thing, pop-reggae with a very skittering sound.

Like all Next Big Things, they'll be down Ver Dumper faster than a speeding billet.

Indeed. And the best thing about working in #PlainTeX is the sense of accomplishment you get when completing a standard task with your own macros --- and to do so almost as well as your buddies do with out-of-the-box #LaTeX commands. :-)
