Depuis que j'ai mis à jour mon téléphone vers #LineageOS17 (#Android10), je n'ai plus de clavier dans les applications installées via #Shelter¹.

J'ai essayé d'installer mon clavier (#Messagease) dans Shelter mais ça n'a rien changé. Quelqu'un aurait une idée?

@dredmorbius that's one of the reasons my most recent phone was the #Xiaomi #MiA1 (which essentially is the #Mi5X with #StockAndroid).

Since it is an #AndroidOne device, it came with the promise of frequent OTA updates till at least #Android9 (Pie), even though it was released with #Android7 (Nougat).

It likely won't see an official update to #Android10 (Q), but Xiaomi devices are generally well-supported in the ROM community.

Finally got root with latest (fixed) Magisk on the Umidigi using standard boot img patching and fastboot adb push

@Fairphone Yesterday I updated my #Fairphone2 to the new release and since then, mobile data as well as Wi-Fi are dead. And it seems that I am not the only one, either:

But with me, neither reboot, nor setting a new APN or resetting the Network would fix anything. That's a rather unacceptable regression and so I have to warn against this update and suggest to wait for the next minor release.

Nur dass bei mir weder Reboot noch sämtliches Gefrickel mit APN neu anlegen, Network reset etc pp hilft. Ich kann vor dem Update nur warnen und raten, den nächsten minor Release abzuwarten.

Thanks for this great resource.

Recently we noticed that #Android10 don't allow users to encrypt their own device. It says something like #GoogleEncrypted and the user cannot change the setting.

This is really bad.

Out-of-the-box #Google encryption means no #encryption, in our opinion.

We wonder whether it's worth owning a #smartdevice today. Maybe an #AllPhonesAreBad (#APAB) campaign is needed. Similar to ACAB, but aimed at the extreme threat posed by #closedTech.

Apparently people try to encrypt their device but can't. It just says "Google Encrypted" or something demented like that.
