    The 'Kotla' or Fortress was built by Feroz #Tughlak in 1354 as his version of #Delhi called Firozabad

    The inscription on the 3rd century BC Ashokan Pillar installed here (not in photo) was translated by James Prinsep in 1834

    The modern dome in the background is the Indira Gandhi Stadium built for Asian Games 1982
