Tightening of Isolation Conditions Against Anarchist Prisoner Aldo Hernández
The anarchist prisoner Aldo Hernández, sentenced to 21 years for an explosive attack against the Dirección Nacional de Gendarmería in Santiago, Chile in December 2021, has been held for over a year in a maximum-security module in the Gonzalina Prison in Rancagua.
The social climate obsessed with repression has led to a gradual tightening of prison conditions. Extreme isolation units, uniforms, and visiting rooms have created a prison inside a prison inspired by the Italian model of 41Bis. The current government, from the president José Antonio Kast, to the Security Minister Martín Arrau, to the Justice Minister Fernando Rabat, have all openly affirmed the inspiration they’ve drawn from the Italian model to transform prison modules into literal coffins for the living.
In the coming days, the regime currently in place in REPAS will be implemented in the Gonzalina prison. That is, 22 hours of strict confinement in individual cells, even greater segregation among prisoners so that during the meager two hours of yard time they see as few other people as possible, and restrictions on receiving money and other articles. The coup de grace of these changes is the elimination of human contact through the implementation of video conferencing for visits.
Cutting off all contact, whether its hugging through glass or speaking over a monitored phone, is the clearest expression of state revenge. Aldo should already be transferred to a general prison population module. We call on everyone to actively reject this tightening of prison conditions and show their solidarity with the compañero Aldo to get him out of isolation. Today, once again, we take up the cause of solidarity and action.
Against the tightening of prison conditions: Solidarity and Action!
Aldo Hernández out of isolation!

Call for Poetry from the Prisons and from the Streets
We want to share this new call for poetry, Haiku without Haiku, for free, unchained verse, born as a continuation of Haiku without Haiku (2023). The new collection will be titled, “Raices y Radicalidad” (Roots and Radicality) and was launched by the compañeros Juan Sorroche, prisoner in Terri (territory of so-called Italy), and Miguel Peralta, who currently is fleeing persecution from the Mexican State in some part of the world.
Roots and Radicality seeks to create a space of encounter, convergence, and expression for those who “confront, resist, and struggle daily against power” in different territories.
Therefore, we invite you all to contribute verses, thoughts, feelings, and words to this collection.
We welcome contributions in whatever language, including indigenous languages, those languages that resist and flourish in spite of the imposition of colonial languages, as well as any form of free expression.
This is a call to never stop dreaming, imagining, and creating infinite new worlds!
Since colonization, the pueblos have developed different forms of survival and resistance against capital and the ways in which it has plundered their territories: mining for gold, extracting rare earth minerals, megaprojects, the grand deception of green capitalism, and war.
As capital intensifies its exploitation and colonial imperialism, the struggle and resistance of the pueblos in defense of their territories must be strengthened everywhere, even amidst attempts to repress and exterminate them.
In our everyday life, through digital hyperconnectivity, we have normalized the reception of information almost in real time from across the world. We have also normalized the idea that to give a “like” means that we are part of some struggle. This phenomenon is limiting action, it is causing the disappearance of different practices which have always pertained to the pueblos and individuals, and it is disappearing spaces for self-defense and action. With this call, we want to create a space of convergence of internationalist solidarity, to share how we feel, and to get a deeper understanding of struggles in the global south from an anticolonial perspective. We want to unlearn, show solidarity, and liberate ourselves.
We call on the communities in resistance, collectives, individuals, imprisoned people, fugitives, comrades on the run, migrants with and without documents, sexual dissidents, sex worker collectives, searching mothers, autonomies and self-defense groups, occupied spaces, prisoner support collectives, creators and dissident artists, and all those who resist daily and attack power.
We invite you all to contribute with verses, thoughts, feelings, and words to this collection we have named, Roots and Radicality. Roots and Radicality because the roots represent the origin, the collective memory, that is being passed on through the passage of time, influencing the formation of identity and sense of belonging. That is to say, the way in which individuals recognize and understand each other. At the same time, the territory is where the roots live, developing and expressing themselves through different political and sociocultural practices.
So, the radicality is the deep return to the origin, it is like a root that moves through the dirt in search of water, digging deep to connect with memory and territory, seeing clearly what we are and where we come from. It is a form of existing that doesn’t stop at the surface, but that seeks the depths where ideas, identities, and changes are born.
We invite everyone to contribute to this collection of words finally free, incendiary syllables, haikus without haikus, and verses released from the logic of meter, thrown without control toward infinity, free from ownership and commodification. The collected writings will be published in print, in a self-published manner, and will be read in self-organized activities and disseminated amongst those interested and “free.” This includes those who are imprisoned, in psychiatric institutions or migrant detention centers, but also those confined in schools, factories, barrios, and fields, but who still feel free and don’t believe in the illusion that this ecocidal society can continue.

13347 BerlinRoots and Radicality was born from written dialogue between Juan Sorroche, compañero imprisoned in May 2019 after more than two years on the run, currently being held in a prison in Italy, and Miguel Peralta, anarchist from the community of Eloxochitlán de Flores Magón, imprisoned for almost five years in Mexican prisons, and now wondering somewhere in the world, with a legal process still open against him.

(ENGLISH VERSION BELOW ⬇️⬇️)

This online kitty is to finance the funerals of our friend and comrade Kostia. Kostia had to leave Russia suddenly because of political repression against anarchists. He arrived in France in January 2021, and lived in several squats, first in Belleville, then in Montreuil, Vitry and Aubervilliers. He had difficult life circumstances for a long time
- lack of documents, money, mental health support. Gradually, he distanced himself from his friends and acquaintances. He was 28 when he committed suicide. We'd like to be able to see the body embalmed and have a cremation (burning the body), so we can get his ashes back, which costs on average between 2,500 and 4,000 euros. An open group of friends and comrades are collectively taking charge of the procedures and organizing a moment of homage, but we don't have the money to pay for the cremation at all. We'd also like to be able to reimburse travel expenses for people who need it or come from far away for the cremation and/or tribute. The date has not yet been set, but we'll let you know as soon as we have it.
We know that it's not a trivial thing to ask for money, and that some of it will go to a funeral company, but we chose cremation because it's what he would have wanted, and because it gave us the feeling that we were restoring a little dignity to the situation: the difficult life he's led so far, the more than inadequate material conditions, his sudden death, the shitty society that also created all this shit, and that gives us rage.
Even though we live far apart, our affection for Kostia and our political sensibilities bring us closer together. We're in this together.

The Spanish government has overturned the Francoist sentence that condemned the anarchist Salvador Puig Antich to death 50 years ago.
He was executed in the notorious La Model prison in Barcelona on March 2, 1974, and was the last prisoner to be put to death by garrote – a device that strangles the victim - by the regime.
The Minister of Territory and Democratic Memory, Ángel Víctor Torres, on Wednesday presented the family of Puig Antich with a declaration of "recognition and reparation" as a victim of the Francoist regime.
The acknowledgment comes after his family's endless struggle to have members of the Francoist regime tried in Spanish, European and Argentine courts for his death.
"We have been fighting for this for 50 years. For the dignity of our brother Salvador. This moment is very important for us, we are touched and without words," said his sister Imma Puig Antich.
