  1. Statement from Marius Mason on his May 2026 release

"What I really want you all to know is how incredibly proud it made me to be part of a community of resistance that stood together. It impressed the people I met in prison for so much love and solidarity to be expressed so powerfully for someone who was behind the walls.

It demonstrated that in our movement, though we were physically separated, we could stay together in spirit, that solidarity and love are action words, and that we are all in it for the long haul.

Change does not come easy, but solidarity is when we flex our strength as a people."

  2. "We Are Striking a Blow at the State:" The Alabama Prisoners Work Strike

"We see work strikes as a weapon to be used to hit 'em where it hurts. There are many different strategies and tactics that prison rebels use, and work stoppages are just one of them. We organize around the knowledge that prison is slavery and super-exploitation of our labor power. Work stoppages are often violent due to the arena and conditions that prisoners are forced to maneuver in.

Prisons are, by nature, violent places. The guards are armed to the teeth with pepper spray, batons, sticks, knives, handcuffs, gas, and guns, and they use extreme violence as a mechanism of control. Moreover, organizers of work stoppages must navigate the different groups: gangs, shot-callers, influencers, and dope boys—and believe me, each of them has their own agendas."

  7. Alert! Anarcho-punk prisoner, Jorge Esquivel (Yorch) has been transferred to the General Hospital of Topilejo in southern Mexico City.

Yorch’s health has worsened in recent months due to the lack of medical attention that he has received inside the two prisons where he has been held (Reclusorio Oriente and Reclusorio Sur) for the last three years.

Yorch has been seeking medical attention for months to treat constant and various symptoms. All of his requests have been ignored, or he has been treated with Tylenol.

Now he is facing a complex mix of health conditions that were not addressed until this week, after pressure was applied from the streets on the authorities and the human rights commission.

Yesterday, Saturday, November 1, Yorch was transferred to the General Hospital of Topilejo where he is now facing hospital overcrowding and the lack of doctors on this holiday weekend.

We know that prisons and prison authorities are not interested in the lives of those held captive. However, we will not let up in demanding medical attention and freedom for our compañero.

We call on everyone to be attentive to the situation of our compañero, and to continue the call for immediate medical attention, as well as his freedom. We hold the authorities of the Reclusorio Sur responsible for any harm that Yorch suffers, as well as the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) which we have not forgotten is the institution responsible for Yorch’s imprisonment.

  8. "We, anarchist prisoners who are queer/trans are catching pure hell in Alabama prisons. We are being oppressed, repressed, and suppressed in many ways. We are arbitrarily being psychologically and physically abused and discriminated against by this system of oppression, pig administration and backward thinking prisoners. We do what we need to survive but staying true to our anarchist principles. And mostly without any help or support from the outside. When prison administrators see that we have support and solidarity from outside comrades, and movements, they back the fuck up in many ways."
