So that’s the old Turntable out of storage as the #audiotechnica TT has a hum coming from the built in phonostage which can’t be bypassed easily.
Back to a 70s Pioneer PL-12D. Despite having the antiskate weight missing and some old RCA and Power cables and rotting sponge in the sprung base it sounds so much better.
Now on the hunt for a new TT, this is an added cost I could have done without. #nothappy

Anyone a FiiO FT1 user? How do you find them. I’m currently in the process of researching a full analogue headphone based system and a separate full digital headphone based system.
I’m going to be moving from my B&W speakers and Yamaha Amp.
I Currently use a Graham Slee Gram Amp as a phonostage and looking at a Graham Slee Novo as the Headphone Amp.
Also looking at a FiiO K15 as Digital as using a iFI Go Max with an iPad at the moment.
I’m using the FT1 with Velour Pads.

Is listening to a song online the same as from a vinyl disk? More and more people are switching back to listening analogue music and photography. But it's not just nostalgia.

Video production is 90% of what I do, but this tape baking and restoration malarkey is spiralling nicely! It's huge fun, too.
An intriguing new batch of 1980s tapes today and Sad Café just around the corner... :- )
