Hadn't played BATTLE of TAROT in a while, but while my twin brother was in town, I taught him the game and we got a few games in. Still a lot of fun! Though... I may be a bit biased ;)
It's free by the way! Get a copy of the rules here, grab your own tarot deck, and play it with a friend, enemy, lover, comrade, or stranger.

Picked up the board game, Everdell by Starling Games, this weekend on recommendation of the fine folks at Dungeons & Donuts. Really enjoyed it. A nice worker placement & card tableau game which is easy enough to jump in but complex enough to strategise and master.

Only one tarot deck is needed to play between two players.
And a custom tarot deck from one of your favourite artists is the best way to play!

All you board game & card game designers out there. Are there any online communities or places you find to be the best place to get feedback or playtesting or even just gamer interest for your games?

What are your favourite combat mechanics in board games? Both for Player vs. Player and/or Player vs. Environment (or AI/CPU, not sure what folks call it in board games)

Been experimenting with Tabletop Simulator this week for prototyping a board game idea I've been scheming for a little while. It's a pretty cool app for prototyping to be honest. #boardgames #gamedesign #analoggames

CW: boardgame psychology: Calico & Cascadia
I think it would be interesting to see a study comparing and contrasting the psychological impact of the rules and play structure of Calico vs. Cascadia. I remember being a little surprised by people talking about how they felt Calico was stressful, and I expect people will feel Cascadia is more "free" in a way because it doesn't have the specific grid to fill. #boardgames #psychology #Calico #Cascadia #AnalogGames
