Amy Macdonald in der Sporthalle bei mir um die Ecke, schön war es. Als Vorband Better Joy, auch nicht schlecht. Ein rundum gelungener und entspannter Abend. Hat gut getan.
Ich liebe ja den schottischen Akzent von Amy. Beim Gesang ist er kaum zu erkennen, aber wenn sie spricht kommt er sehr deutlich zum Vorschein. Ich verstehe dann zwar im besten Fall nur die Hälfte, aber ich liebe ihn.

Gestern Abend fand an der Fussball-EM jener Match statt, den ich hatte sehen wollen. Oder zumindest den Beginn desselben ich hatte sehen wollen: Schottland – Schweiz.
Ich wusste eigentlich gar nicht so recht, für wen ich sein sollte: Das Auftreten der schottischen Fans ist halt schon eine Nummer für sich, und sie vertreten ein Land, das mir spätestens letzten Sommer ans Herz gewachsen ist.
Amy Macdonald spielte gestern auf Instagram „The Flower of Scotland“, eine der drei inoffiziellen schottischen Nationalhymnen. Meinen Kommentar „I‘m Swiss, but a big fan of Scotland. So, come on, Scotland!“ beantwortete sie mit „aww :-)“. Wer kann schon von sich behaupten, mit einer solchen Berühmtheit solcherart in Kontakt gewesen zu sein?
Die Schweiz schoss übrigens zwei Goals und gewann 1:1, aber wen interessiert das schon …

"Who?" asked my cow-orker, who doesn't listen to enough modern troubadours singing about her drunken nights on the town.
Curious, because said cow-orker ended up so drunk he couldn't get into a taxi at midnight.
