2022 worked out the 2nd best year financially for me as a writer in the 15 years I've been full time ( just behind 2021... the difference being my self-published stuff is now mostly passed its sell by date and sales of those fell off the cliff.) Onward to 2023 we go... #AmWritingYA

In theory, I shouldn’t need to ask - I publish books as a hobby, but these are very niche and to a very specific market (the @Indieover40 community which is active on Tw, FB, Insta etc).

When it comes to my own writing though, and particularly my YA fiction, I’m pretty much clueless.

All help/advice appreciated.

If you self-publish your books, where do you sell from?
I’m loathe to use Amazon for tax-paying reasons (them, not me) and just have a Lulu.com page with which I admittedly do very little.

Is there a better way?

Good morning, #writer friends! I’ve got about 8 more chapters left on my #novel in progress, so I’m making coffee and then getting ready to dig in. I #write out of order, so these scenes are actually toward the end of the #book—anyone else do that too? And anyone else up for a #saturdaysprint? I’m hoping to get lots done this morning!

Any of you get a possible scene caught in your head, like a catchy song lyric, and become obsessed with writing it, but it doesn’t quite fit into your book? I’m considering a rewrite to make this one fit. It’s humorous, horrifying, and shows characters relationships so well.
