#WritersCoffeeClub JUN-06 How do you write about places you’ve never been?
Yes and no. For High Fantasy ( #SoulBearerLegacy) and Science Fiction ( #Unmodeled), sure.
For contemporary literature, I either write about places, I know (Hamburg, Germany ( #ExGayHusband) and Anchorage, Alaska ( #SubconsciousMind))

#PennedPossibilities 1031. Are you satisfied with the genre(s) that you write?
My writing range is quite diverse and I'm extremely grateful that I can write just drama and then next time, I can write fantasy or science fiction, and after this, a thriller maybe.

#WritersCoffeeClub/ #EpigraphCoffeeClub Oct-30 How much world-building do you do before starting your first draft?
For me this depends very much on the genre. Since I write a lot of contemporary drama or similar contemporary genres, there usually isn't much worldbuiling needed, as the world can be used as is for the most part.

@strangeseawolf @clarablackink @crcollins @ElisesWritings Of course, this could also work from the other perspective when you want to have certain user's toots in your feed, but only when they toot about, for example, #WordWeavers or #amWriting or #amWritingDrama
@strangeseawolf @clarablackink @crcollins @ElisesWritings There's another problem, that some people might have:
They want to follow, for example, #WordWeavers, but only in the context of #amWritingDrama and #amWritingFantasy. Or the other way around, following #WordWeavers, but not posts with #amWritingHorror. These combinations are currently not easy to configure.
@clarablackink @strangeseawolf @crcollins @ElisesWritings Yeah, for example, instead of #Drama, there are specific hashtags like #amWritingDrama. This should work for each genre and sub-genre 🤔
About #AsIf:
Jannis can't believe, his crush Kai—the coolest boy at the entire school—invited him to a party, given that Jannis is a total underdog. At the party, Jannis has a certain feeling that Kai likes him—that can't be true, can it? However, after sharing a moment, something happens that keeps Jannis in uncertainty longer than expected. Is there a chance that he gets an answer to his question?
About #ArkanCotton:
Arkan Cotton is a short story about a terrible author with the same name, being an even more terrible human being, who's persuaded himself to be the greatest person in the world and treats everyone like sh*t—especially his ex wife who's the target of a lot of #misogyny.

About #ExGayHusband:
This is a story, I initially wrote in German, but started to translate into English and posted the first chapters on #GayAuthors.org. It's based on a true ((queer) love) story. I usually write fictional stories so this sounds a little different from my other stories.
