Here’s an ampersand for World Ampersand Day, painted by Brian Walker (RIP), the subject of a short film I made last year with Irene Chirita.

Sounds like a challenging and competitive competition for the Stone Skimming World Championships in Easdale, over the weekend. One day I must try to go along to this brilliant event, but I can't imagine I'll ever be good enough to reliably compete!

I did visit the beautiful, hallowed island venue last spring and, since it's World Ampersand Day tomorrow, I think I'll post this again.
