yesterday i did some writing until my brain ran out of Make Good Words juice. my brain really really wanted to keep writing (one chapter left, and then the epilogue!) but i knew id only produce drivel so i very deliberately did other stuff.

this morning in the shower i cracked the ending, know exactly how to stick the landing and finish it off with a flourish.

…but ive got a work shift so i cant actually write it out. 😭

All procrastinators know that if you put something off long enough, eventually it’s too late and then you don't have to do it.

I've been procrastinating on writing a 3- or 4-book series about a horrific dystopian future. It now looks as if I only have to wait a couple more years for it to become our everyday reality. This is a huge load off my mind, because not only do I not have to do the work, I can also stop worrying about whether readers will find it plausible or not.

I wrote a bunch yesterday, but I need to undo it all and write something better. The end of this story is not coming easily. I have writer’s constipation. My story elements are not playing nicely. This reminds me of the time I sewed a pair of pants and when I picked them up, I’d stitched it all wrong. The pants had itty bitty stumpy legs and the hugest ass, ever.
