    You rarely if ever get lost, feel clever for picking up on the clues, and things loop back on themselves, which is a very Amid Evil thing, and good.

    The whole thing is a treat, and a masterclass in Level Design, IMO

    The level design, ambiance and quality of the combat are out of this world, this is some premium shit. I am constantly amazed at how well designed this game is. If it maintains even a fraction of this quality through the rest of it, it's easily going to be one of my favorite things this year, holy shit

And while much of it is brutalist and could plausibly be built with skilled craftsmen and massive amounts of slave labor, it is the parts that could only have been made with magic that stand out. Like the pillars at the entrance of the titular Black Labyrinth.
