Well I read through the #Amidah just following the #Hebrew. I occasionally looked at the transliteration to check I wasn’t totally wrong.
It took FOREVER so I hope HaShem is filled with patience… Do the rabbis of the Talmud ever say it’s possible to cause HaShem to fall asleep? 😅
Still, impressed with my progress. No way I could have done that a couple of months ago.

Many #siddurim now include the imahot. Especially in the #Amidah. This article explores the importance of the imahot in rabbinic literature. The author argues that adding the matriarchs into the liturgy is not a radical idea but is consistent with a long Jewish tradition that recognized and valued the imahot.
