One of the many examples of the phrase "modem history" being used to make something seem unprecedented when it really isn't: New Zealand became the first team to win the America's Cup 3 times in a row in "modern America's Cup history." This is the 37th #americascup. I'd guess "modern history" is the last 10 of them, maybe even fewer, and the first 20 or so (in "ancient history") were all won by the same yacht club.

I managed to miss the live of the last race, so had to rewatch it after the fact, but it was a good race. I'm kinda happy the Brits still didn't manage to get back the #AmericasCup, but they put up a hell of a fight.
