  1. ‘Beyond court reform, Americans have to reacquaint themselves with constitutional thinking — with the idea that we, the people, make constitutional meaning. To the extent that the Supreme Court claims broad authority to say what our constitution means, it is in large part because we have given this authority to the justices through our indifference.’

What a bullshit! Most of the #NaziIdeology was an attempt to imitate the #USAmericanMentality.
Without #AmericanRacism and #antiSemitism, the #Holocaust would never have happened.
    This is one thing.
The other one is that #Trump is keen to imitate #Hitler. This is now perfectly obvious. There is also Trump's #Gestapo, the #ICE.

  3. I've got it! Hear me out!

    My solution to #AmericanRacism #Racism #ideas #improvement

"White people" must watch x-amount-of "black tv"
"black folks" must watch x-amount-of "white tv"
doesn't really work because most TV is "white tv"

I'm sittin here trying to find something to stream (TV). I don't need to watch "The Conners". F-that. I grew up w/ people like that. No thanks.

I check out these #blackfamilies shows. That's something I can learn about. I ain't been there before as much. The situations are funny, because i might not be absolutely certain how each person might behave. OR don't know "the thing" they're doing, at all even. Something about shea butterj (sp?), or... you get the idea. [American] white people be stupid, by and large. no culture. tunnel vision.

Mix it up, at least! there are good shows white or black. crap shows likewise.

    E.g. (i digress, but)
I don't like the way the portray the #Davis character on #CornerGas but, maybe you'd have to be there to get it. I mean, he's a #native (i guess? #Cree man?). He's kind of the jester/ buffoon. that's #Canadian

one thing at a time. LOL!

  4. When I think about the next four years and the license people like this have been given to act as they truly are, it makes me want to find a subscription service that delivers bourbon directly to my home. A lot of bourbon.

Please wake me in November of 2028.

On November 18, 1983, a Black man named James Cody was beaten with a flashlight, subjected to electric shock on his testicles and buttocks, and threatened with castration by officers acting under Chicago Police Commander Jon Burge. Over the course of almost 30 years, Commander Burge oversaw and participated in the torture of over 100 Black men, resulting in scores of forced confessions. When Commander Burge first took command of the jurisdiction known as Area 2 as a detective in 1972, he and his men—known as the “Midnight Crew”—began forcing confessions using brutal torture practices such as beating, suffocation, electric shock, burning, Russian roulette, and mock execution.”

  8. Celebrating America’s racists, past and present, is a conservative tradition. It’s been one for centuries. Shameful.

  9. CW: Long read on history of anti-Blackness; policing; racist violence; whiteness

From my old #blog Zuky where I often wrote about #AntiRacism, I thought I'd offer something I wrote in 2015 titled "From Le Code Noir to the New Black Codes" on the long history of justifying violence and punishment against Black people for minor infractions and perceived insubordination:
