Saw this from @TheRaDR the other day--and it's a great reminder that what I've described as the "Classified Annexes" to Project 2025 *explicitly discuss* harvesting government data on Americans with physical, mental, or psychological disabilities to lay the groundwork for the euthanasia of populations seen as "a burden on the taxpayer" -- i.e., on our #AmericanOligarchs and their billions.
First, the #TurdReich came for the undocumented immigrants. Then when not enough spoke up, they started coming for the immigrants WHO DID EVERYTHING right (just not WHITE). But that's NOT why they're building all those extermination (not "deportation") centers around the country; it's NOT why they're normalizing anonymous, masked thugs disappearing our neighbors in our streets, and shooting American citizens dead when we object.
Next they'll be coming for the disabled, the poor, and the elderly. For those who dare to criticize. For those who keep freedom's memory alive.

The modern "poll tax" IS TIME. The kinds of voters our #AmericanOligarchs DON'T LIKE have constraints like jobs with brutal schedules, kids with no childcare options who can't legally be left by themselves, and few transportation options they can afford.

I need to periodically acknowledge to dilemma lurking behind my (only partially) facetious use of the #WhatWouldRobespierreDo hashtag: YES, I absolutely believe we are witnessing the "long train of abuses and usurpations" that "evinces a design to reduce [We, the People'] under absolute despotism," of which America's founders spoke in our Declaration of Independence--which ultimately had to be resolved through political violence against a tyrannical government. And yes, this modern instance is being driven by our #AmericanOligarchs, as part of a #BillionairesInsurgency that aims to render all government & religious authority ACCOUNTABLE TO THEM, instead of the other way around: a combination that truly does evoke [the better parts of] the legacy of Robespierre in response.
But--as others were pointing out yesterday--our contemplation of the role which force may at some point have to play in the preservation of our liberty must also be balanced by the understanding that--being violent people steeped in fantasies that we were intent on doing the same TO THEM under Obama or Biden-- #AgolfShitler and his #Sturmtrumpers are SALIVATING AT the prospect of organized political violence that would allow them at least A FIG LEAF of justification to invoke the Insurrection Act. If popular force does ultimately prove necessary, it must either be timed in support of some other action (like the military executing its oath "to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC") that would render the Insurrection Act moot, or triggered by regime action that makes it clear we're going to face that level of state violence anyhow, WHETHER OR NOT we fight back.
In the meantime, we're better off denying them the excuse they seek, and finding other, more creative ways to fight back....

This is, overall, an excellent writeup. I have a couple of quibbles (e.g., this WAS the expressed will of a plurality--though not a MAJORITY--of last years' voters, so our #AmericanOligarchs WEREN'T just ignoring the will of the people, and I do, for example, think a decent case could be made for handling illegal narcotics shipments into America as an act of war--as a form of chemical weapons, which have killed FAR more Americans than the attacks of those more famous "unlawful combatants" on 9/11) but even there, the #AgolfShitler administration consistently refuses even the most basic standards of evidence, oversight, and accountability REQUIRED FOR such justifications.
More to the point, though, Robin's writeup reminds us JUST HOW FAR the #Donjjal--the #MAGAts' 'messiah' who literally epitomizes EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Seven Deadly Sins--has (mis-)led us toward normalizing behaviors that EVERY CHILD can recognize as wrong...while spinning false #narrative woven from whole cloth out of #disinformation, to obfuscate and confuse those obvious conclusions for us 'more worldly' adults.
It's high time 'We, the People' rouse ourselves and put a stop to it. And Scott hints at a crucial conclusion that my wife (a scholar of ethics FOR DECISIONAKING) and I have reached as well: that getting back to and making explicit our "#FirstPrinciples of Americanism" that #Trumpsim stands manifestly opposed to is a key initial step.
