ItHadToBeSaidX: *American History X is LESS relevant than ever*

"The world is under a greater threat from Nazis than it has been since the 1940s. Though it has some relatable messages, American History X is not the movie for this moment. This video looks at the talking parts of the movie (you won’t see any violence or hear any slurs) and how the talking parts lead to the violent parts."

The DVD is upstairs (honest!) but the dvd player is who knows where.

That scene, at the start, is the most violent and disturbing in any film I have seen.
Even though it is not shown.

It also feels like the way the USA is very clearly headed.

In 1998, “American History X” was a brutal and controversial indie film that offered a grim vision of white nationalism in the U.S. 25 years later, did it anticipate a growing, 21st-century movement? Writer Tom Joudrey addresses the question for the BBC. https://flip.it/BrGWAG
