It is #AmericanHeartMonth. We all know that taking care of your heart is so important but did you know that doing so also takes care of your #brain? I had never heard of #VascularDementia until studying #neurology at #UCSF.

February is #AmericanHeartMonth. It's important to know that taking care of your #heart is also taking care of your #brain. According to the #Alzheimer'sAssociation, somewhere between 5 and 10% (this % varies significantly depending on the study) of people with #dementia have what is known as #VascularDementia, a brain #disease that falls under the #dementia umbrella.
