Q1 - Incorporating clothing into your writing.I use clothing to help set the mood:
I say in my corner of the bar, dressed in black, with a dark hat pulled down over my eyes. My style said Leave me alone.A bartender in two layered tank tops (not too tight!), to make it easy for her to flair while she works--because bottles and shakers can hang up unpredictably on clothing.

Q3: I love to write characters who caffeine, although they aren't always tea drinkers (cause I am clearly weird).
I do tend to write characters who can't live without their caffeine--sorta like Brad Pitt like characters who are eating--it reliably gives them something to do.

Q1: I caffeine CONSTANTLY.
I drink a lot of tea. I have a whole cupboard of different types. I make loose tea in a pot (or Mr. Tea) if I'm motivated, but mostly I'm lazy and I use a bag.

Q4: I stuck this one here so I could rail at my pet peeve (sorry, not sorry).
I hate hate hate when characters in movies (or books) order good single malt Scotch whiskey by brand name ON THE ROCKS. It's worse than James Bond ordering a watered-down martini.
Specifically, one from an adventure series called Strike Back, where Damien Scott (Sullivan Stapleton) ordered Glen Morangie on the rocks EVERY EPISODE.

Q3: I wrote a story (as yet unsold) featuring a flair bartender who did a bit of magic on the side. I really enjoyed researching flair bartending (beyonding watching the movie Cocktail).
I've also got a published story that includes a Jeopardy category called "Lusty Libations." I really need to post the whole Jeopardy board on my website. #goals

One of my joyous memories was when I first got involved in fandom--and they taught me about hard cider. I'd always felt left out when "the guys" were drinking beer, but cider made me an equal.

Nothing wrong with tea. And there are so many varieties.I found a great black tea online that includes peppermint bits to make iced tea out of. The candy bits melt during the brewing process.

Q1: I'm (of course) going to split my answer--really, is anyone surprised?
Nothing, but nothing, can beat a complex aged single malt Scotch, straight up, sipped slowly. Favs include my current snifter inhabitant, Highland Park, Glen Dronach, Balvenie, and Glen Morangie.
When I've feeling fun, I like gin cocktails. My simple favorite is a French 75--if I haven't got open champagne around, I opt for an Aviation.

So far my impression of being 51 years old is there’s a lot more discussion of the practical benefits of gay sex over het-sex, way more jokes that end with the phrase “size queen” and a shocking amount of Canadian rye in Fanta being knocked over and wasted.
Also less surgeries, but it’s only been 45 minutes or so, so I don’t wanna get cocky.
