Good weekend! I saw The Bride Friday night and thought it was really fun. Went to drag brunch at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood for a friend's birthday on Saturday afternoon and hung out with that big group of people until Saturday night. Then on Sunday I went to a friend's house for his daughter's sixth birthday.

Tonight I'm going to go watch a buddy play some hockey too! Nice little extra treat for a fun weekend.

I already know that this evening double feature is a bad idea, but do they have to start the trailers almost 5 minutes late too?

I saw Twinless and am about to see The Threesome. Twinless was really good and I'm going to try and track down James Sweeney's other films.

I texted my brother that it was too cold in this movie theater and his response was, "Keeping the cinema fresh?" And yes it does seem to be fridge temp in here! Why do they do this?.

Just saw Sacramento, it was cute and funny, and I'm sitting here waiting for Warfare. Heard it was pretty brutal and more of a horror movie than a typical war movie. I like Alex Garland, so I'm hopeful. I usually try to see rated R stuff.

Just saw The Woman In The Yard and am now sitting in the theater waiting for Death Of A Unicorn to start. Hopefully this one will be better than the last which I get what it was going for, but I found it to be a touch boring and approached its subject matter only on the surface level. I'm no stranger to grief, but this just didn't connect with me at all.

Saw Soderbergh's The Presence just now. I didn't realize until I pulled up the ticket for my second movie of the day that it's in the same theater! Kind of a fun coincidence. I'm seeing Love Me next.

The Presence was shot well and was an interesting take on the haunted house story. I don't think it's a must see, but it was well crafted.

Got all three movies this week! Saw September 5 on Tuesday with a buddy.
